kids will be skeletons
i am in constant discovery of my own itunes library. thanks to the hey days of harddisk parties, i’ve amassed a huge collection of music that i have not completed picking through – even 3 years after!
this week, i loaded a long list of mogwai’s masterpieces into the iphone, just to fill the void during bus rides. one track shines way brighter than the rest (there are loads of real jems from them). yes, i am late to the mogwai party (no i do not care what you fan boys want to rant about on that) this one grabs me by the subconscious and liberated my emotions.
try getting a yourself a copy. stuff it into your mp3 player and listen to it while in transit (bus, car, train). it has an amazing effect of slowing things down while things are moving fast around you. you might find yourself just gazing at a spot just outside the window, head tilted to one side with a slight smile. at the end of it all, somehow, magically….you feel that everything will be just ok….
when the next music on the playlist starts, you’ll realize that you just had a wonderful moment of <insert positive feeling here> while listening to it.
