the re-entry

wordpress looks leagues better since i last visited (a long time back) …. or was it typepress. oh well least its no blogger.com.

its been years since i did any blogging. the last one was erased on impulse since it was more of an experiment rather than keeping a journal. it started while i wondered what the fuss was about with all these students who spend hours in the computer labs working on css and html when they have no business to be infront of a computer at all. i sat one down (i caught him infringing some lab rule) and made him bring up his terminal’s browser history. i memorised some of the sites and visited them later. it turned out to be quite an interesting read going through the pages though most of them are teen-trash talk (loads of words with “z” at the end, short forms and mixed “caps”). all in all, it was a trip down an area of the net that was new.

i can’t write well, not as well as my editor housemate…but i do dab here and there with work stuff that need some editor-like skills (documentations and how-tos). being more of a graphical person, i really enjoy spending my time with photoshop, illustrator and photography. the issues that i face now are (one)i am out of digital photography equipment that works – my last trusty 2 megapixel died at the start of the year / nikon FM2 is awesome but film dev time turn around is not, (two) i dont have much time or the inspiration to create anything graphical and (three) i feel theres something that i have not done a long time and needs revisiting.

so the re-entry – heres to more insomnia fueled rants, techno-babble and whole lot of whateverelse.
